It is with the greatest regret that the HWVA have to announce the cancellation of it’s working test on 9th September. This difficult decision has been made due to a combination of factors.
Unfortunately Richard May, one of the principle organisers, who is ultimately responsible for running the day has sustained a serious back injury, which despite intensive treatment isn’t going to be resolved enough for him to attend the event. This leaves a large gap in the team running the event, very close to the date.
In addition, the recent dry weather conditions have left the grounds in an unavoidably less than ideal condition. The water has dried up to a point swimming opportunities are very limited and the normal fields used for hunting are bare.
Whilst our hosts are amazing and would do what they could to facilitate this test, coupled with the unfortunate timing of Richard’s injury the HWVA feel that they would not be able to run a test to an acceptable standard.
We hope you will understand and we look forward to welcoming you at our next working test.
